What is the difference between the desktop icon and the app icon?

applippli DX Pro offers a “desktop icon”, which connects to the whole desktop environment, and an “app icon”, which starts one particular piece of business software.

The desktop icon connects to the Windows environment in the cloud, and suits working with several pieces of business software and files at once, just as on an office PC.

The app icon starts a particular piece of business software or in-house system directly, which keeps the user’s operation simple.

In both cases there is, in most cases, no need to install business software or in-house systems on each user’s PC (depending on how the software is built, some components may still be required on the device). Everything is managed in one place, in the cloud environment.
